If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy; if the world were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I wake up each morning torn between a desire to save the world and a desire to savor the world. This makes it very hard to plan the day." -- E. B. White
“Be a lamp unto your path.” The Buddha
Yoga philosophy suggests that a well-lived life exhibits four qualities of experience: wealth, pleasure, wisdom, and liberation. Each week, we will dive deeply into a rich physical practice, searching for what our bodies understand about these truths. This series will teach you postures and pranayamas that can build strength, confidence, and faith in yourself.
What we will do each week:
– 7:30-7:45p – Context for the evening
– 7:45-8:15p – Pranayama
– 8:15-9:15p – Asana
– 9:15–9:30p – Seated Meditation
– 9:30-9:45p – Yoga Nidra – (15-minute guided & silent DEEP relaxation)
