An eight-week series with Bill Hufschmidt

Next series:
September 18 - October 27, 2010 Wednesdays 7:30p

Every yoga posture has two forms: the external and the internal.  Most yoga focuses on the external form - where you put feet and your hands, how you position your spine.  The internal posture - the energy, the bhavana, the attitude - is ever changing, because energy is always changing.  You can do the same posture 10 times, and it can look the same on the outside, but feel different on the inside.

This yoga series focuses on how to assess, develop and correct your inner posture, as well as the outer posture.

Yes - the series is called "Basics," but every level of practitioner can find value in this series and the discussions.

Each week we will use this schedule:

7:30 - 7:45 - Centering & Easy warm-up movements
7:45 - 8:00 - Breathing Technique of the week
8:00 - 8:30 - 20-minute practice + relaxation + meditation.
8:30 - 9:00 - Discussion of the week
9:00 - 9:30 - repeat practice + relaxation + meditation.
